October 24, 2014 – The Shoppes at Reunion Retail Center, located at the intersection of Osceola Polk Line Road and Lake Wilson Road, held the groundbreaking ceremony for its Phase II Development yesterday. The Center will more than double its size when the newly constructed 14,000 Sq. Ft building is completed this winter. The First Phase of Shoppes at Reunion includes businesses such as Dunkin Donuts and Pizza Hut.

The property managers, Atlantic Gulf Companies, organized the groundbreaking ceremony that featured Osceola County District 1 Commissioner, Mike Harford in attendance. Commissioner Harford thanked investors of the project for taking the initiative to invest in Osceola County. “Our goal is to diversify investment and let people know that while tourism is important, we have so much more here.”

Atlantic Gulf Companies is a group of Real Estate companies that provide a full range of real estate services, including Property Development and Management. Atlantic Gulf represents the center’s owner, Dr. Mohamed N. Moon through 4th Atlantic Gulf Property Investments. “The development of the Shoppes at Reunion Phase II signifies a positive step toward economic development in the area,” said Atlantic Gulf Companies CEO, Salim Valiani.

The Commissioner also spoke about progress of business development in the region. “In the last 12 months we have added 7,000 permits for projects in Osceola County.” He cited softening of permitting requirements and a new software system that allows for documents to be processed electronically as the two main contributing factors to the new streamlined process.

Mr. Valiani further outlined his company’s plans for more projects in Osceola County. “We have 2 additional projects expected to launch in 2015; one on Highway 192 and another in the rapidly developing Heritage Park region. Having the support of Commissioner Harford is very encouraging and shows the value that he places on developing business here in Osceola County. We view this as the first step toward building a great partnership between our company and the County.

As Mr. Valiani explained: “Our Company is excited about what this center and our future projects will bring for local residents, business tenants, both current and future, and the area economy in general.”
